Baccarat at Berjayasama88 — Why It's the Most Popular Game at Malaysia's Live Casino
If you have ever walked into a physical casino at Genting Highlands, you would have noticed that the baccarat tables are always packed. That is no coincidence. Baccarat has a number of qualities that make it particularly appealing to Malaysian players — it is fast, easy to understand and offers some of the best value in the casino if you know how to bet correctly. At berjayasama88, we ensure your online baccarat experience matches — or even surpasses — what you'd find at a physical casino, complete with live dealers you can watch in real time through high-quality video streaming.
Baccarat is a card comparison game played between two hands — "Player" and "Banker". You don't need to be either one. You simply bet on which hand will have a value closer to or equal to 9. It's that straightforward. There are no complex strategic decisions like in poker, and no need to worry about how many cards to draw — all of that is handled automatically according to fixed rules. This is what makes baccarat so easy to enjoy, even for players trying an online casino for the very first time.
How to Calculate Hand Values in Baccarat
One key thing to understand in baccarat is how hand values are calculated. Cards 2 through 9 carry their face value. Cards 10, Jack, Queen, and King are worth zero. Aces count as 1. If the total exceeds 9, only the last digit applies. For example, 7 + 8 = 15, so the hand value is 5. This means a hand's value can shift dramatically when a third card is drawn — and that is exactly what makes every baccarat round so suspenseful.

When the total exceeds 9, subtract 10. So 15 becomes 5. A natural 8 or 9 from the first two cards is the strongest hand in baccarat — no third card is drawn.
Speed Baccarat — For Players Who Want More Action
One of the most popular variants on the platform berjayasama88 is Speed Baccarat. As the name suggests, this variant moves at a significantly faster pace than classic baccarat. Each round is completed in approximately 27 seconds, compared to 48 seconds for standard baccarat. This means that in the same amount of time, you can play through nearly twice as many rounds — giving you more winning opportunities in less time.
The defining feature of Speed Baccarat is that all cards are dealt face-up from the very start — no squeeze drama, no slow reveals. This cuts down on wait time and keeps the pace consistently fast. For players who prefer a quick rhythm and hate sitting idle, Speed Baccarat at berjayasama88 is an ideal choice.
Baccarat Squeeze — A Dramatic Experience That Keeps You on the Edge of Your Seat
At the other end of the spectrum, Baccarat Squeeze is a completely different experience — slow, suspenseful and designed to draw out every heart-pounding moment as the cards are revealed. In Squeeze, the dealer grips the card and peels it open slowly from the edge, revealing the suit before the value. It is this moment that makes so many baccarat fans feel as though they are truly seated at a VIP table in a high-end casino.
Berjayasama88 offers Baccarat Squeeze with professionally trained dealers. The HD video stream ensures you can follow every movement of the dealer's hands in sharp detail, making the squeeze experience as authentic as possible — whether you are relaxing on your sofa in Kuala Lumpur or in a hotel room on a trip to Sabah.
Dragon Tiger — The Simplest Baccarat Variant at Berjayasama88
Dragon Tiger is an even more streamlined variation of baccarat — each side (Dragon and Tiger) receives just one card. The side with the higher card wins. It plays much like a simple two-outcome bet, but with the added option of Tie and Suited Tie wagers that offer higher payouts.
Dragon Tiger is hugely popular among Malaysian players who want fast-paced action with instant results. Each round can wrap up in under 20 seconds. At berjayasama88, Dragon Tiger tables are available 24 hours a day with limits starting from RM 10 — ideal for new players who want to experience the Live Casino atmosphere without having to learn the longer rules of baccarat.
